Zanzibar 2027
In March 2027, a team of 31 students and 4 staff members will travel to Zanzibar to volunteer in a primary school in Stone Town, one of the poorest communities on the island. During their time there, our students will work directly with local children, delivering classroom activities, supporting lessons, and providing sports coaching to help inspire and engage young learners.
The money raised through Non-Uniform Day and other fundraising events across the year will help us purchase and take with us vital resources that the school desperately needs. We are hoping to raise funds for educational equipment, sports kits, clothing, books, and other essential school supplies. These resources will provide less fortunate young people with greater opportunities to embrace their education, develop new skills, and achieve their full potential.
Alongside teaching and coaching, our students will be supporting wider school development projects through our partner organisations. Previous projects have included helping to build new classrooms, creating IT facilities, and improving sanitation facilities, all of which have a lasting impact on the local community.
This project represents a unique opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children in Zanzibar. At the same time, it offers our students an unforgettable experience, broadening their horizons, developing their understanding of global communities, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
We would be incredibly grateful for your support. We kindly ask students to bring a donation in exchange for wearing non-uniform on the on Friday 17th July. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us provide resources and opportunities for children who need them most.
