Message from the Head

Thank you for considering Lode Heath School and Sports College for your child’s Secondary School Education. I hope you find this information useful in making your choices. If you have any questions, please ask.

I am confident that Lode Heath School and Sports College will provide your child with the safe, happy and caring environment which enables our students to thrive. Lode Heath offers a broad and inclusive curriculum with high academic standards and high expectations of our students. They are all encouraged to take part in a wide range of extra curricular activities and to be a part of school life. Whether in Drama, Music, Debate, Green Club or Sports; the students are encouraged to ‘get involved!’

We aim to provide wide-ranging opportunities to all our students to engage them fully in both academic and healthy lifestyle activities, which will sustain them in adult life.

We have much to be proud of, but we continue to set ever more challenging targets. The Partnership of Parent, Student, School, Community all working together to create a School with a vibrant learning ethos will enable our ambitions to become reality.

ShoeBox Appeal

Once again Lode Heath will be taking part in this very worthy charity event. Last year our pupils, with your help and encouragement, sent approximately 130 boxes to the Samaritans Purse organisation to go with thousands of others from Solihull to needy children in Eastern Europe.

Most of our children do have a real appreciation of how fortunate they are to be brought up in homes where their needs are well met, even though on occasions this may not seem to be the case.

We hope that you will encourage and support your child(ren) in this venture. If any parents wish to send your own gifts you are, of course, welcome to add them to those we will be sending to the depot for transportation in early November.

New Library Software Launched

Come and visit our new look LRC. We've got a new library system 'Eclipse', which will be

available from every computer in the school to search, reserve and check your borrower record.
