The School became a Specialist Sports College in September 2003
It is not just about a sports school but about students and the community getting invloved in a wide range of activities
It is about each child being a valued member of the school community
Students are positively encouraged to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle
Students are encouraged to become responsible learners and self assessors
Students are encouraged to research, deliver, support and lead in the learning of their peers, and younger children in the community
Students are expected to be proactive in their learning and accept challenges as part of their personal development
Our Sports facilities include a well equipt Sports Hall with full cricket nets, a traditional Gymnasium, and extensive playing fields. There is a fitness suite, together with a fully equipped Independent Learning Centre, complete with video analysis technology, four new changing rooms with cubicles, showers and new toilets. (Still in the development stage is an all weather facility for football and hockey)
Extra Curricular Sports Activities include:
